Hello Fellow Society Members,
Just this evening I received a call from Fr. Gary Pennings the Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas. He has been assigned to look into the possibility of bringing the Extraordinary Form to Johnson County. Prompted by my meeting with Msgr. Tom Tank, that was proceeded by my meeting with Fr. John Torrez at St. Paul Parish in Olathe - where Fr. Pennings is currently in residence - he will be assessing the availability of priests in the area that would be willing to assist in bringing the Extraordinary Form to Johnson County. Fr. Gary had stated that the Archbishop has given him the task of assessing the situation and he is to report back to him.
As you can see much progress has been made, and we still have some way to go.
Pleasy keep Archbishop Naumann, Fr. Gary, Fr. Brian, Fr. Wolfe, Fr. DeFrates, Fr. Avis, Fr. Phillipson, Fr. John, Msgr. Offutt, and all priests of the diocese in your prayers.
